4th   International  Meeting on Yeast Apoptosis

Wyndham Miami Beach Resort, Miami Beach, Florida

November 13-17, 2005

The 4th International Meeting on Yeast Apoptosis will bring together investigators from around the world to present and discuss research employing yeasts as model organisms to study apoptosis and its role in stress responses, aging and development. This meeting will extend the tradition of three highly successful meetings devoted to this topic held in Austria, Slovakia and Portugal during the past three years. Meeting sessions will begin on the evening of Sunday, November 13th and conclude late in the morning on the following Thursday. These sessions will cover a variety of topics, including:

  •           genetic pathways and biochemical mechanisms of apoptosis in yeasts

  •           yeast models of apoptosis in aging

  •           genomics and proteomics of apoptosis in yeasts

  •           apoptosis and mitochondria in yeasts

  •           yeast models of DNA damage-induced apoptosis

Opportunities will be available for oral and poster presentations.

The registration fee is $450 and includes breakfast and lunch Monday through Wednesday. Accommodations are available at $124/day/room (double occupancy) at the Wyndham Miami Beach Resort.

The meeting site is within walking distance of the internationally renowned restaurants and clubs of South Beach.
